Most businesses stall on how they run, not on effort
MC Global Consulting Group LLC works with business owners on operations, strategy, growth and business development. Practical guidance and solutions built around your business, so you can build it, improve it and grow it.
Two stages, and they happen in that order
Understanding the business and changing it are two different jobs. Doing the second one first is how owners end up paying for a fix to a problem they did not have.
See what we consult onWork out what is actually holding the business back
Owners usually know something is wrong and are rarely wrong about that. What is harder from the inside is naming which one thing is causing the other four. Stage one is the work of finding that out before anybody spends money on a fix.
Put the fixes in place in an order that holds
A plan with thirty items on it is a wish. We agree the few that change the most, sequence them so each one makes the next easier, and stay with it while they go in.
Most owners start at stage one. If you already know exactly what needs to change, we start at stage two and go straight to the build.
See the full processWhy businesses stall at the same few places
The causes repeat across industries. None of them are about the owner not caring, and every one of them can be worked on deliberately.
Consulting, matched to what your business actually needs
Most owners need two or three of these rather than all six. The first conversation is where we work out which ones apply to you and in what order.

Somebody in your corner who has seen the pattern before
One person who takes the time to understand your business, tells you the truth about where it stands, and stays with it while things change. No template, and no report you never open again.
- We look before we prescribe. A proper read of how the work runs, what the numbers say and where the business genuinely wins.
- We say so when the answer is small. If the fix is one decision rather than a project, you get told that, even though it is the shorter invoice.
- We write it down. The plan, the order, the owner of each item. Something you can act on when the meeting is over.
- We stay through the doing. Advice is the easy half. Most of the value shows up while the change is being put in.
Five steps, no mystery
The same sequence every time, so you always know what is happening and what comes next.
The free consultation
Thirty minutes on the phone. What the business does, what is working, and what you want to be different six months from now.
The review
How the work runs, where customers come from, what the numbers say and what depends on you. We look at the business as a whole before picking a place to start.
The plan
A short written plan in priority order. What to change, why it matters, roughly how long it takes and who owns it.
The build
We work through it with you. Processes written down, pricing checked, roles agreed, whatever the plan actually called for.
Review and adjust
We come back to it on a set rhythm. Plans meet reality quickly, and the point is what the business does, not what the document said.
Where does your business stand right now?
Five questions, two minutes, no sign up. You get a score and the first few things worth working on.
How long has the business been trading?
What does an average month look like in revenue?
How clear is your view of the numbers?
What is the biggest thing holding the business back?
How much of the business runs without you?

What we look at in the first review
Have a think about these before we speak and the first conversation goes a lot further. If something on this list does not exist yet, that is useful information rather than a problem.
Owners we work with most
The principles travel. What changes is the cash cycle, how customers buy and what good delivery looks like in your trade.

The things owners ask on the first call
What does a business consultant actually do?
We look at how the business runs today, name what is holding it back, and work through it with you in a sensible order. Operations, strategy, growth and business development, depending on what your business needs. It is practical work with an owner, not a report you file away.
Is my business too small for this?
Almost certainly not. Small owner led businesses get the most out of it, because one clear decision changes a bigger share of the whole. If we think you would not get value yet, we will tell you on the first call.
What does it cost?
The first consultation is free. If the work goes further, the scope and the fee are agreed in writing before anything starts, so there are never charges you did not expect.
How long does an engagement run?
It depends on the work. Some owners need a single session and a plan they can run themselves. Others keep us alongside them for a few months while things change. Both are normal, and we would rather you needed us less over time.
Will you tell me things I do not want to hear?
Yes, politely and with a reason. That is most of what you are paying for. An adviser who agrees with everything is expensive company.
Do you guarantee results?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Too much of what happens next depends on the market and on decisions only you can make. What we commit to is honest analysis, a clear plan and staying with it while you put it in place.
Start with a conversation, not a contract
Thirty minutes, no cost and no obligation. You will leave with a clearer read on where the business stands and what to do next, whether you work with us or not.
- The first consultation is free and there is no obligation to go further
- An honest read including when the answer is to fix something before you spend
- Scope and fees in writing agreed before any work starts
